How does Artsmark work?

Use Artsmark’s clear and flexible framework to embed creativity across your whole curriculum and to address school improvement priorities.

It is a two-year cyclical program that supports you to reflect, plan and develop your arts provision. You’ll receive support throughout via Goldsmiths’ Artsmark learning program.

How long does an Artsmark journey take?

Schools can take up to two years to complete their Artsmark journey and your award is valid for two years. So all this, plus an incredible CPD offer for an investment of just £500  - £250 if you’ve fewer than 100 pupils!

How do we award?

Every school’s Statement of Commitment and Statement of Impact is evaluated by our expert team of Artsmark Assessors . Our Assessors look at:

  • how far your school’s arts and cultural provision has progressed

  • the impact of Artsmark on your school

  • the objectives and goals you’ve achieved (not ones that are yet to be completed)

Once your submissions enter this assessment phase, schools can expect to receive the outcome of their award no later than a full term after submitting their Statement of Impact. Schools receive one of three Artsmark levels: Silver, Gold or Platinum.
